New Tide

New Tide ties together a couple of concepts on this record. The title and main riff are a nod to Rodney Jones.

Long time friends Rob and Evan play bass and drums on this album. Rob and I we in a band called Plan A together (along with EJ Fry on drums). We recorded two albums and played frequently in NYC from 2003-2005. Evan and I had an organ trio from around that time that we played in together.

I stood outside Seaside Studios before the session. Brian walked from one avenue and Rob from the other, arriving at the same moment. Brian said "It's a convergence!" And, he was right.

This record is a convergence of my best memories from the "A" days with the exciting present of the series of albums this year.
